About the Logo
- The Texas A&M University Center for the Study of Health Disparities logo is designed to depict the overall mission of the Center.
- The position of the letters on top of the balance represents the connection between the Center and those affected by health disparities.
- The imbalance indicates the burden of disparities on certain populations.
- The significance of the people is important in two ways: (1) they represent the vast array of universities, communities, and individuals committed to eliminating health disparities and (2) the multi-ethnic populations disproportionately affected by health disparities.
- The colors are representative of Texas A&M University and the Aggie Spirit of excellence and commitment to diversity.
- Texas A&M University at the base of the logo represents the resources and environment that support health disparities research.
